The way to pay for healthcare: a prepaid voucher, available via USSD and mobile app, honoured by a network of approved providers. More than 38 million target users in the DRC by 2031. Now listed on the WHO Global Digital Health Atlas (Implementome).
Communication & training
EMS — Elite Medical Syndicate
The communication and continuing-education app for health professionals: training, medicines directory, emergency protocols, medical procedures and conferences — to fight counterfeit medicines and quackery.
Please note: MeducAHT and EMS are neither diagnostic applications nor medical devices. MeducAHT is a means of paying for healthcare; EMS is a communication and training application for health professionals. Diagnosis and treatment remain the responsibility of health professionals.
The challenge
Health financing exists. It does not always reach the patient.
In sub-Saharan Africa, a large share of healthcare is still paid out of pocket by families, at the very moment care is needed. Public programmes, insurers, donors and the diaspora mobilise significant resources — but without a common tool, these remain hard to direct, track and measure.
In the most remote areas, the lack of internet coverage adds a further barrier.

How it works

The patient, their family, an employer, a programme or a relative abroad buys a Guaranteed Health Voucher — via USSD, the app or an approved agent.

At an approved health centre, hospital or pharmacy, the beneficiary presents their voucher. Verification is instant.

Care is delivered with no upfront payment. The provider is paid on a guaranteed basis; the funder sees the impact.
